Two car accidents,
high heels and fitness.
I want to tell you my story because I think it helps you understand how we can work together, if there is a good match.
A truck struck my car on a country side road, in the middle of a Winter night and throw it down a hill towards the river. A tree stopped the car before it plunged in the waters and probably saved my life.
I stayed in the crushed car for hours, with broken bones and covered in blood. I thought I would have died, but someone saved me. It wasn’t my time.
I was 21, a dancer and a model. I loved just two things: dancing and fashion.
The doctors told me I would have to stop dancing and probably I would have never been able to wear high heels again.
I decided not to believe the doctors.
The recovery was painful, but I recovered and I started dancing again.
A few years later, someone didn’t respect a red light, smashed into the car I was as a passenger, killed my friend and left me in coma with fractures and a serious shoulder injury.
But I recovered again.
In total, in the two accidents I had 131 bone fractures, dislocation of the hips, lumbar/sacral hernias and a serious shoulder injury.
And I realized what was important for me in life.
Why I am a personal trainer
The combination of my experience with dance and injury gave me a special ability to understand exactly how the body works and how to work with it.
Somebody who hasn’t that experience, doesn’t understand the body to this level, no matter what or how much has studied.
I feel this is sort of a superpower and I want to help people with this.
You can work with your body and make it the best it can be. Actually you have to do it, because you have just one body that you will be in for all your life.
I really believe in exercise and keeping yourself healthy and fit. Because this is key to have the best life that you can have.
And I know that I can help you achieve this. This is my gift and I shall use it.
This is why I am a personal trainer.
From New York to the Beach
How did I end up here in Miami Beach?
After about 10 years in fashion and some exciting but immensely tiresome work in a high rise in New York (and travelling around North America) I decided that I should have simply go to the beach.
Or, put it in another way, follow what was meaningful for me.
And I moved to Miami Beach, Florida.
I truly believe that living here helps you to understand what is important in life.
Here at the beach, you can really find yourself again and take care of your body and mind and soul.
